The Namakkal Poultry Farmers Marketing Society (NPFMS) was set up in 2020 with the main objective of providing a platform for poultry farmers in the Namakkal district to market their produce. The Society has dedicated members and has been instrumental in providing quality chicken and eggs to consumers at affordable prices.

Quality Control Unit (QCU) to inspect poultry farms
NPFMS has also been working towards improving the quality of chicken and eggs produced by the farmers. In 2010, the Society set up a Quality Control Unit (QCU) to inspect poultry farms and ensure that they adhere to the required standards. The QCU has been successful in reducing the number of complaints from consumers and has also helped to improve the overall quality of chicken and eggs produced in the district.
